Are you listening to your customers and employees? Not only are employee resource groups a strategic way to engage your workforce, it’s a cost-effective approach for understanding your internal and external customers. Make It Plain Consulting provides a comprehensive strategy for creating ERGs, connecting them to the business, and maintaining business relevance. Our experience with working with employee resource groups in 15 countries equips our partners with benchmarks and best practices from a global perspective.
Example Project:
Diversity Business Council and Employee Resource Groups
Make It Plain was asked to examine the opportunity to integrate and unify the efforts of employee resource groups (ERG) in multiple countries as the result of merger, acquisition as well as reduction of force activity. The assessment phase consisted of interviews with leaders of each ERG and management of the respective locations and business units. Our recommendations included specific actions for the global diversity business council and each of the employee resource groups.
Make It Plain facilitated the creation or refinement of all charters, transformation plans and the creation of specific objectives, goals, metrics and action plans. We also provided all of the education for the Council and ERGs to help them perform better as virtual teams, build overall trust and enhance cross-cultural communications.
The result was a set of high-impact strategies that increased ERG value to the company and employee productivity while driving out operational redundancies and cost.
