Brittany Mention, Ed.D. is an Assistant Professor, experienced educator, and facilitator. As an educator, she has developed a research project regarding conversations about race and created courses for diversity, equity, and inclusion. Dr. Mention’s work in diversity, equity, and inclusion sets the stage for building strong relationships in and out of the classroom. She is known for creating comfortable spaces for uncomfortable topics. Her expertise is in cultural competency and diversity training.
Dr. Mention has been in education for almost 13 years after deciding she wanted to work in a field where she could have an impact and help change the narrative. She sees herself as a lifelong longer and gamechanger. Her broad range of experiences inside and outside the classroom provide Dr. Mention with a balance of theory and practice—a balance that she helps her learners start to build. She enjoys being with family, traveling, cooking, and sports.
